Accelerated Resourcing

Accelerated Resourcing (AR) is an innovative brain-body technique designed to help you process past trauma or distressing memories. Drawing from Brainspotting, EMDR, IFS, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), meditation, and inspired by the Flash Technique, AR uses positive resourcing exercises to shift how past experiences are stored in the nervous system.

This approach helps you release old patterns, reduce emotional distress, and create new, empowering ways of responding, so you can move forward with greater resilience, and freedom from the past.

Heart Healing™/Hypnotherapy

Heart Healing™ is an integrative approach that combines scientific, spiritual, and energetic principles to create deep, lasting shifts. It draws on inner child healing, deep relaxation and meditative journeying, psychodynamic theory, cognitive-behavioral techniques, parts therapy, attachment theory, and somatic healing.

This approach focuses on healing relationships on a subconscious level. Many of us carry experiences that leave our hearts feeling rejected, judged, criticized, abandoned, or “not enough.” Heart Healing™ helps release old emotional wounds, restore connection to yourself, and open your heart to life.

Rapid Transformational Therapy/Hypnotherapy

Rapid Transformational Therapy™ (RTT™) helps you get to the root cause of why you feel stuck by exploring key past experiences that shaped your self-beliefs. During the session, we uncover the negative meanings and interpretations you may have formed from those events and reframe them into new empowering beliefs.

RTT™ uses a combination of hypnosis, neuroscience, NLP, psychotherapy, and CBT to access the subconscious mind in a deeply relaxed state. This allows for meaningful shifts in your core beliefs, thoughts, habits, and emotions, creating lasting change and the freedom.

Brainspotting

Brainspotting is a powerful, brain-body technique that helps access unprocessed stress and trauma stored in the emotional (subcortical) part of the brain, where automatic responses and triggers originate. Many clients describe the experience as trance-like, similar to hypnotherapy, allowing deep processing without needing to extensively talk through the trauma.

Brainspotting can be transformative for recovering from PTSD, processing trauma, improving performance, and accessing flow states. It works by identifying specific eye positions that connect to relevant emotional experiences. Through focused mindfulness, somatic awareness, and these eye positions, Brainspotting helps release stored stress and trauma, facilitating insight, relief, and meaningful change.

Dr. Grand, the developer of Brainspotting, discovered that “where you look affects how you feel”—the brain organizes itself around these visual points, allowing patterns held in the nervous system to shift. Music and sounds are often incorporated during sessions to create a calming, integrative effect.

Expansion, a type of Brainspotting, goes beyond processing  just challenges to cultivate flow, joy, freedom, and internal awareness. It leverages your internal resources and positive past memories to reorganize the nervous system and foster profound transformation.

Identifying Goals & Outcomes

Often, we focus on what we don’t want. In therapy, we work collaboratively to clarify your goals, not just for coping, but for creating meaningful change and healing. Through an in-depth intake process, we explore what truly matters to you and tap into the imagination of your subconscious.

We ask questions like: How would your life look with more freedom and trust in yourself? What new actions or habits would you take? How would you show up if you treated yourself with more compassion and support. This process helps set the foundation for transformation and growth.

 SUBCONSCIOUS RELEASE

In therapy, we work to uncover why you feel stuck by releasing old emotions, beliefs, and unprocessed stress at a subconscious level. Together, we identify the limiting beliefs that may be holding you back. Often, what is causing pain now was once a helpful solution in your life, but it has become outdated and may be preventing you from choosing more of what you truly want.

.

SUBCONSCIOUS REWIRING – HEALING BEYOND TALK THERAPY

As your therapist, my goal is to help you move beyond just talking about what’s been difficult towards genuine, lasting healing. We focus on the emotional part of your brain, where patterns of thinking, feeling, and self-belief are formed. Neuroscience shows that as this part of the brain heals, it creates new pathways that help you feel calmer, more grounded, and at ease with yourself. As this healing unfolds, you naturally begin to embody the changes you want in your life and the person you want to become.

MOVING INTO NEW CHOICES

As therapy moves beyond simply discussing challenges, it addresses the root causes of what’s holding you back. By focusing on the feelings you want to experience, you naturally begin to release old patterns and cultivate new beliefs. These new beliefs create new thoughts and emotions, which lead to new choices.

People typically notice change in three ways:

  1. Immediate release: Shifts experienced during or right after a session.

  2. Incremental change: Gradual improvements that accumulate over time.

  3. Retroactive change: Recognizing positive changes in your choices and behavior when looking back.

Most clients experience a combination of all three, helping them feel more aligned and empowered in their daily life.

Belief Change & Stress Release - Where Healing Begins

Our subconscious beliefs shape and guide everything we do. Many of our behaviours and coping mechanisms are automatic, driven by beliefs we may not even be fully aware of. By changing these beliefs at a subconscious level, new possibilities and opportunities open up in our lives.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do all sessions involve hypnosis?

No, Hypnosis is optional, and not all clients will decide to use this approach. Jessica offers a combination of Hypnotherapy, Brain-based therapies, talk therapy and coaching to help clients achieve optimal results. Every client is different in what would best fit their needs. At the initial session and throughout therapy, a therapy plan will be discussed

Where is therapy and coaching offered?

Online Therapy is offered throughout Ontario, including Kitchener-Waterloo, Toronto, London, Windsor, Barrie, and all parts of Ontario. Online therapy is also available in some other Canadian provinces, some restrictions apply. If you live outside Canada, coaching may be available. Coaching focuses on future-oriented goals and is designed for people who already have personal resources and stability in place, as it is not a substitute for mental health treatment. Jessica also has some limited in-person therapy spaces in Waterloo, ON. Please inquire about availability.

What iSSUES Does Jessica not work with?

Jessica’s practice is for adults 18+ only, and she does not work with children. She also does not provide treatment for serious addiction concerns, suicidal ideation, conditions involving psychosis, self-harm, personality disorders, or anorexia.

I am worried about revisiting scenes or experiences from the past?

This is a common concern and can be discussed during your consultation so we can ensure your safety. Therapies like Brainspotting and Hypnosis work with your internal resources to release unprocessed stress or trauma, allowing you to let it go without having to relive the experience.

How should I expect to see changes?

There are three types of change clients experience from this work, and every person is different:

Immediate: You may feel a significant shift right away, noticing changes in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours during or immediately after the session.

Incremental: Small shifts can occur as you engage with your highly personalized recording over 30 days post-session, which accumulate over time to create more significant changes in your life.

Retroactive: For some, change becomes noticeable only when looking back at behaviour patterns. Friends and family sometimes comment on these changes before the client even realizes them.

Most people experience a combination of all three types of change.

What is the difference between face-to-face and online sessions?

Sessions are delivered online. Online sessions are delivered via the Jane app via a HIPAA-compliant platform. This mode of delivery is equally as effective as face-to-face sessions. Clients often report enjoying the convenience of doing sessions from the privacy of their own home. Jane App is a free and accessible platform, and full instructions will be provided to you on how to use this platform for the best overall experience. Jessica also has some limited in-person therapy spaces in Waterloo, ON. Please inquire about availability.

Are all sessions confidential?

Yes. All sessions are strictly confidential, and nothing from our work together is shared unless you provide written consent. As a Psychotherapist, there are a few specific situations where confidentiality must be broken by law, and these will be clearly outlined in your initial consent forms and reviewed during your first session.

Are Sessions Covered Under INsurance?

Jessica is a Licensed Therapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario #13135. If your insurance is underwritten in Ontario and provides coverage for a Registered Psychotherapist, sessions will be reimbursed under your benefit plan for the cost of the session up to the listed session maximum of the plan.

WHAT ARE YOuR FEES and how does the structure of your Sessions work?

Stand-alone sessions are not offered; however, therapy can be tailored to different needs. Some clients engage in short-term work, while others pursue medium- to long-term therapy, depending on their goals and complexity of the issues being addressed.

Sessions typically start on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, with the intention of eventually moving to monthly or bi-monthly for continued growth and integration. Therapy is always structured with a clear end point, but past clients are welcome to return for one-off or regular sessions if new needs arise.

Your support outside of therapy and any previous therapy experience can be important factors in determining the appropriate length and approach. Those with strong external support or prior therapy experience may progress more quickly, while others may benefit from a longer course of sessions to fully integrate changes and achieve lasting results.

Do you offer a sliding Scale?

Yes, a sliding scale is available, though there are typically only 2–3 spots at any given time. These spots are generally reserved for individuals without insurance benefits, single or low-income individuals, and students. Please bring this up during your consultation to discuss eligibility and current availability.
